Japan asks Saudi Arabia to increase oil production

Japan supports continued cooperation with Saudi Arabia to stabilize the international oil market, Report informs via TASS.

Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi asked Riyadh to increase oil production during talks held on Tuesday in Tokyo with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

“Minister Hayashi expressed his gratitude for the stable supply of oil from Saudi Arabia, asked to continue cooperation aimed at stabilizing the international oil market, and further increase production [of oil],” the Japanese Foreign Ministry said.

The foreign ministers of the two countries also discussed the situation in Ukraine, in the Asia-Pacific region, including North Korea, as well as the Middle East.
